First we will explain how to remove caramel stains when they are fresh. Make sure you treat it as soon as possible. Use a dull knife or any other non-sharp object to scrape off the excess caramel.

Next, rinse the stained area with cold water. Once you rinse with cold water, then rub some liquid detergent onto the spot. Let this sit for about five minutes. After the five minutes, then rinse hot water through the back of the spot. Make sure this water is as hot as it can be so it will force the caramel back through the clothing. Next, you can apply a stain remover stick, gel, or spray to the spotted portion of the clothing. Easy as that, you can then stick the clothing into the washing machine and the spot should be gone!
Next, we will explain how to remove the caramel spot when it is dry. First, mix one tablespoon of water with three tablespoons of Borax. Make sure you spread this onto the area. Let the piece of clothing sit for about fifteen to twenty minutes before doing anything else to it. Rinse thoroughly once the fifteen to twenty minutes are up. Next, rub some liquid detergent onto it. Let sit for about five minutes. After five minutes, rinse with hot water. Lastly, you can apply a stain remover stick, gel, or spray to the clothing to completely remove the mark before washing. Then, stick the clothing into the washing machine and make sure it is completely gone before putting it into the dryer.
